Back in October, our very own Managing Director, Andrew Baldry, was featured in an issue of Football Focus magazine to share his thoughts on Harrow Fencing’s support and continuing sponsorship of Harrow Borough FC.
This comes after our most recent pitch-size advertisement was unveiled in November. To celebrate our spot in the magazine, we decided to write this article to highlight our longstanding relationship with this incredible local team.
A community spirit
Here at Harrow Fencing, we have been sponsors of Harrow FC for many years. Our previous managing director had a long and positive relationship with the club, and attended many events over the years.
Andrew Baldry, the current managing director here at Harrow Fencing, is continuing this high level of support for the team. As a former footballer himself, he remembers the excitement of getting new kits for his club and what it meant to watch local football. He reflects on how smaller football clubs still have that warm community feel and personal touch that larger clubs tend to lose as they move up the pyramid of professional football.
Now living in Norwich, Andrew is loving the local grassroots football scene, such as the rarity of having a post-match handshake after the game. It is this continued passion for local football that strengthens our ongoing relationship with the team.
