Harrow Fencing Supplies is a fencing supply and installation company and we have been established for over 60 years.
We are looking to recruit for two jobs: a yard assistant and a fencing labourer. These jobs are ideal for someone looking to start and progress in the timber industry and there are opportunities for progression within the workplace.
Yard Assistant Job Description
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Rate of Pay: £400 per week
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, plus overtime available
Holiday: 28 days per year, including Bank Holidays. Fixed Holidays, 2 weeks Christmas
Location: The successful candidate will be Yard based, serving / loading customers vehicles.
Some responsibilities of a yard assistant include:
- Manual handling of timber.
- Operating machinery.
- Upholding the appropriate Health and Safety practices.
Full training will be given
We’re seeking a motivated individual who is quality focused and understands the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised,
In addition, the successful candidate will be / have:
- Fit and active
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy and have good work ethics
- Conscientious
- Self-driven
- Willing to learn new skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team and alone
Candidate must have own transport , as punctuality and attendance is very important. Position to start with immediate effect.

Fencing Labourer Job Description
